One of our favourite Animix movies is Tangled. It’s the story of Rapunzel, who is stuck in a tower because she can’t get down. Her hair gets so long that people think she’s a witch, so her father takes her to the wizard who can help her get down. Along the way, she meets Flynn Rider and Eugene (from The Little Mermaid), and they help her save the day.
Another great Animix movie is The Lion King. Mufasa dies, and Scar takes over his kingdom. Simba must find a way to stop Scar and regain his rightful place as king. He recruits a ragtag group of animals to help him on his journey: Timone, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu, Scar himself, and King Louie. The film has fantastic music and storyboarding by Tony Award winner Andreas Deja (The Nightmare Before Christmas).
Wreck-It Ralph is another great Animix movie that features video game characters coming to life. Ralph moves from his home in the arcade to Fix-It Felix Jr.’s apartment upstairs but soon discovers that he’s not alone in the game anymore—the bad guys have also taken over everything! It’s up to Ralph to take back the Wreck-It Ralph world from Vanellope Von Sch.
